In the Media...
Future Financial Planning was recently profiled in the Business Post, where Emma shared her perspective on how both individuals and businesses can navigate today’s financial challenges. With over 23 years’ experience in the sector, she spoke about the realities of rising costs, limited access to finance, and global uncertainty, issues that continue to affect everyone from small business owners to families managing day-to-day budgets.
The feature highlighted the importance of having a clear financial plan, managing cash flow proactively, and seeking advice early rather than waiting for problems to escalate.
A key message was that financial planning isn’t only for high earners. Practical steps like building an emergency fund, reviewing protection cover, and starting a pension can help anyone feel more secure and prepared.

Tackling the Gender Pension Gap
Emma Farrelly contributed her expert opinion to the Business Post on an issue that matters deeply to her: the persistent gender gap in pension provision in Ireland.
In the article, she explores why the incoming auto-enrolment scheme, while welcome in some respects, fails to address the realities of unpaid care work, lower-paid part-time employment, and longer life expectancy—all of which disproportionately affect women.
Drawing on her 23 years of experience and her own experience balancing a financial career with motherhood, Emma calls for a cultural shift in how pensions are viewed and urges women to take control of their financial futures.

MyWallSt invited Emma to join Stock Club for a focused conversation on how people in their twenties can build sustainable savings habits. Emma explains the limits of property-only investing, breaks down Ireland’s auto-enrolment system from both sides of the table, and demystifies deemed disposal. The episode closes with a clear view of today’s Irish wealth landscape and the steps that help people make better decisions.
